Chemical Exfoliation Peels

Our Chemical Exfoliation Peels are safe and effective on all skin types. This treatment will improve the tone, texture and clarity of the skin, soften fine lines and wrinkles, stimulate collagen, help in the treatment of rosacea by strengthening capillaries and may help improve acne skin conditions. It will leave your skin soft, smooth and radiant. Treatments take 20 to 30 minutes and you may experience mild redness and flaking for up to a week. What conditions can be improved by chemical exfoliation peels?

Chemical Exfoliation Peels can be used to improve many common skin conditions such as sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, irregular pigmentation, mild acne scars, and large pores. It can also be effective in re-stimulating collagen and elastin which are the key factors in tightening skin.

How are chemical exfoliation peels used to improve the appearance and conditions of skin?

Chemical Exfoliation Peels accelerate the cellular turnover process revealing healthier, younger looking skin with the use of proteins, acids, enzymes and /or vitamins to achieve optimum results.

How long does one treatment take?

Each treatment will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

What results should I expect immediately after my treatment?

Within several minutes of the treatment your skin may become slightly red. This reaction will subside within a few hours to a few days. Skin may look and feel dry and tight. It is recommended that you use the appropriate moisturizer and an SPF of at least 30 to further prevent any hyperpigmentation or sun damage.

How many treatments will I need?

Amount of treatments will be determined based on consultation. It is usually recommended to complete a series of chemical exfoliation peels to get rid of severe damage or as a maintenance program.

Is there any side effects?

Depending upon the peel, your technician will inform you of your post-op care and any side effects related to the treatment. You may notice slight redness or skin sensitivity, usually lasting no more than a few days. You may also experience slight skin flaking three to four days after your treatment. This will start to diminish within 5-10 days.

gloLactic 15%
This type of chemical exfoliation is very superficial and great for dry, mature and hyperpigmented skin.

gloSalicylic 30%
This chemical exfoliation is superficial and great for oily, congested, combination, sundamaged and hyperpigmented skin.

gloEnzyme
Contains salicylic acid, pomegranate and bioastin. This is an exfoliant with fruit enzymes and salicylic acid to help breakdown dead cells for smoother skin.

gloGlycolic 60%
Contains citric acid, bilberry fruit extract and phytic acid. This is an aggressive chemical exfoliant to promote the repair and regeneration of skin. It is recommended to aid in the elimination of actinic keratosis and to improve the appearance of aging skin, uneven texture and tone.

gloModified Jessner 14%
Contains 14% salicylic, 14% lactic, 14% resorcinol, resveratrol, lycopene and raspberry. This type of chemical exfoliation is a synergy of effective acids to help reduce the appearance of melasma, freckles, acne and mild cases of rosacea.

gloTCA 15%
Contains yogurt extract, vit-a-like™ and kleptose. This chemical exfoliation is a medium depth peel with benefits formulated especially for those with mature skin problems, such as sun damage, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation.

Vi Peel
This peel is designed to reverse the signs of aging and sun damage on the skin. It can be used on any area of the body including the eye area. The Vi Peel will improve tone and texture, reduce age spots, freckles and hyperpigmentation, help with acneic skin, soften lines and wrinkles, and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin for firmer skin.
